ESL Certified Virtual Tutor

Framework is now hiring ESL certified tutors for Fall 2024 tutoring! Get a head start on onboarding and training for Fall 2024 tutoring sessions. We are looking for certified, experienced, and creative educators who will provide virtual tutoring services to a diverse group of elementary, middle, or high school students covering various math and ELA subjects. The tutor will facilitate one-on-one or a small group instruction for up to 8 students per group. The tutoring service is designed to provide academic support via a safe and secure online video conferencing platform for students in different time increments, ranging from 15 minute to 60 minute sessions. This is a remote, part-time tutoring role. OVERVIEW: • W-2 part-time employment • Pay rate of $35 per hour of tutoring; $20 per hour of predetermined admin/prep time • No guaranteed minimum amount of hours, maximum of 30 hours per week • Set your own schedule - sessions occur during the school day, afterschool, evenings, and even weekends • No lesson planning - curriculum and slide decks are provided • Ongoing professional development opportunities provided • Supportive, highly communicative virtual workspace and management team RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide high-quality, live tutoring services to students in 1:1 and/or small group settings • Conduct tutoring sessions ranging from 15 minutes to 1 hour in length • Create a virtual learning environment that is safe, accepting, fun, and interactive • Deliver curriculum in a clear and engaging manner • Monitor and adapt instruction to meet student needs • Administer provided assessments according to a predetermined schedule • Maintain professional and timely communication with the Framework Tutor Ops Team REQUIREMENTS: • Must hold a current and valid teaching license - expired licenses are not accepted • Must hold an additional certification or endorsement in ESL/ESOL/ELL • Must reside and work in the U.S. • Must have a working computer, mic, and camera, as well as reliable internet and a quiet, distraction-free environment • Ability to pass a federal level background check, which may include fingerprinting • Proficiency utilizing online platforms and virtual teaching tools • Prior online tutoring experience is a plus • Bi-lingual abilities are a plus Framework is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
