We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Payroll Bookkeeper to join our team and help manage payroll and bookkeeping tasks. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and handling payroll. Duties • Process payroll for clients on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes and reports. • Maintain payroll records, including employee information and changes. • Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare financial reports as needed. • Assist with general bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling bank accounts and managing accounts payable/receivable. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. • Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide support as needed. Requirements • Proven experience as a Payroll Bookkeeper or in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant tax laws. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members. • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with bookkeeping, payroll • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification. • Experience working with multiple clients or in an accounting firm setting.
