Part-Time Media Relations PR Specialist (Remote)

About us Green Flag Digital is a small boutique content marketing studio. We are growing due to increased demand from clients in recent months. We are looking for A talented Media Relations PR Specialist to help land stories in the media for our clients. Looking for senior applicants with pay commensurate with experience. Our team creates High-fidelity campaigns based on consumer economics. The ideal candidate will be a T-shaped marketer that loves wearing different hats in this role, and is both a left and right-brain thinker. Our recent campaigns have involved data around migration, businesses, finance, economics and insurance - and you should be comfortable with jumping into an excel file from time to time. On the flip side we create articles that are visually beautiful and appeal to journalists. Your time will mostly be split by: • 50%-80% email outreach for media placements • 10-25% content creation & ideation • 10-25% project management & strategy You are a good fit if you're: • A PR specialist, that lives for media outreach. • A creative marketing professional, preferably with a writing background. Responsibilities • Research trends & media • Brainstorm and manage content marketing campaigns • Pitch media - journalists and bloggers - for about 10-20 hrs a week • Collaborate with design and writing teams to produce high-fidelity content • Develop editorial calendar, delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met • Edit, proofread and improve content • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics • Analyze web traffic metrics Skills • Love for understanding media industry and trends • Loves pitching media outlets 10-20 hrs a week • Exceptional and fast email management skills • Understanding of web publishing requirements • Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences • Hands-on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics • Project management skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and writing skills in English • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Journalism, Comms or relevant field (flexible on this - English, History, math, CS and general business majors also great) Green Flag Digital provided the following inclusive hiring information: We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
