DSP (Direct Support Professional)
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team! We are hiring 1 full time position for our all male home in Buffalo... Schedule (Buffalo location): We have 12 hour shifts available every other Saturday and Sunday paired with 12p-9p shifts every Tuesday, and every other Thursday, and then a couple 9am-3pm shifts every other Friday and Thursday. Pay: $19.00-$19.50/hr (M-F) and $21.00-$21.50/hr (Weekends starting at 3pm Friday) AME Community Services is now hiring individuals to provide daily-living support both in our homes and community for adults with disabilities. The role of a DSP: Provides ongoing support to people by assisting in the development and implementation of all formal and informal support plans and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of specific supports and approaches for each individual. Consistently records necessary documentation in each individuals progress notes, data sheets, medication charting, incident reports, daily staff log in a timely and legible manner. Ensures that consumers routine daily tasks (grooming, laundry, room cleaning, and household chores) are completed as necessary and supervises and provides training and assistance as needed to assure tasks are adequately completed. Encourages consumer participation in a variety of recreational and leisure activities in the community by suggesting ideas, assisting in planning and participating with the consumers in the activities. We currently have part-time and full-time availability with shifts ranging from daytime, evening, overnights, and weekend hours. AME Community Services offers competitive pay with weekend hour shift differential of $2 more/hour (Friday 3pm-Monday 6am).
