Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages Complete age-specific admission and ongoing assessments, documenting and using them to develop a plan of care Collaborate with healthcare team, patient, and family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care Accurately administer and document treatments and medications for patients of all ages using automated computer systems Identify patient/family educational needs and incorporate them into the plan of care Demonstrate the role of patient advocate, protector of patient's rights, and provider of psychological/social/cultural support *Qualifications:** Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure Obtain CPR, and as needed ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC) Successfully complete orientation and competency requirements Meet essential job functions *Benefits:** Employer Funded Pension Plan, vested after five years (Voluntary 403B) Comprehensive Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits Flexible Work Arrangements/Schedules Remote Work Options Paid Time Off (accrued from day one) Onsite fitness studios and discounts to our Carilion Wellness centers Access to our health and wellness app, Virgin Pulse Discounts on childcare Continued education and training Apply Job!
