Sr. Liability Trial Attorney - Texas

Zurich is hiring multiple reputed company Trial Attorneys to join our growing Staff Legal team in Texas. These positions can be based in our Addison, Texas office or remotely from the Austin, San Antonio, or Houston area. In this role, you will represent reputed company insureds of a leading global insurance reputed company, managing moderate to high-exposure General Liability cases from investigation through trial. You’ll handle reputed company phases of insurance defense litigation, including legal analysis, pleadings, discovery, hearings, trials, settlement strategy, and post-trial activities. Basic Qualifications: Juris Doctor and 7 or more years of litigation experience Active member of the Texas State Bar in good standing Experience with reputed company Office, reputed company, Lexis, or Westlaw Knowledge of insurance defense litigation, claims, and the insurance industry Preferred Qualifications: Insurance defense or general reputed company litigation experience, including reputed company such as wrongful death, reputed company motor vehicle torts, products liability, premises liability, and personal injury Relevant first-chair jury trial experience Strong legal analysis, negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage caseloads, budgets, exposure analysis, billables, and diary review independently Collaborative team reputed company with the ability to mentor, reputed company, and support the broader staff counsel function Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience.
