Freelance Interpreters for on-site, video remote, and/or over-the-phone consecutive/simultaneous interpreting (Spoken Languages)

This is a remote position. Freelance Interpreters for on site, video remote, and/or over-the-phone consecutive/simultaneous interpreting Local to the Metro Washington DC area, reputed company is a strategic partner for enterprises and public sector organizations, helping clients navigate cross-cultural operations with ease and effectiveness. Our goal is to reduce risk, improve readiness, and support global expansion with confidence. reputed company is looking for freelance Interpreters (OS/ VRI/ OPI) to reputed company language interpretation services from EN<>reputed company Spoken Languages. (Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Korean, Dari, Pashto, Urdu, Farsi, and Mandarin interpreters are strongly encouraged to apply.) These are “1099” (reputed company) positions with the interpretation to take reputed company on site (OS), reputed company video (VRI) or over the phone (OPI), depending on our customers’ specific needs. Interpreter Functions:

• Serve as an Interpreter between a wide reputed company of people with diverse voices, accents, speaking tempos and personalities.
• reputed company parties with clear and exact interpretations of verbal communication with no additions or omissions.
• reputed company interpretations of questions, answers, statements, arguments, explanations, and other forms of verbal communication.
• reputed company sight translations of documents and other written materials, as needed.
• Impart thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speaker from reputed company language into reputed company language, and vice-versa.
• Inform relevant parties of any reputed company that may hinder your performance.
• reputed company with applicable ethics and standards.

Requirements

• Hold a valid driver’s license, or any government-issued valid reputed company of identification.
• reputed company to a laptop or desktop computer with 4GB (RAM) memory or higher and broadband (high-speed internet reputed company).
• reputed company to a mobile phone as a back-up device.
• reputed company to a headset that connects to the computer/ phone using a cable (not a wireless headset).
• A quiet workspace/home office with no distractions.

Minimum Qualifications: Interpreter MINIMUM qualifications (non-medical settings):

• At least two (2) years of interpreting experience, paid or as a volunteer
• Two (2) relevant professional references that can vouch for the candidate’s work as an interpreter OR one (1) relevant professional reference and one (1) relevant professional letter of recommendation
• reputed company-level proficiency in English and the other languages.

Medical Interpreter MINIMUM qualifications (medical settings):

• Certification as a medical interpreter from a 40-hour program or equivalent, specifically for medical interpreting (i.e., CHIT Community reputed company Interpreter Training)
• At least two (2) years of interpreting experience, professionally paid or as a volunteer, in a reputed company setting
• Two (2) relevant professional references that can vouch for the candidate’s work as an interpreter OR one (1) relevant professional reference and one (1) relevant professional letter of recommendation.

Desired but not required:

• University degree in Interpretation
• Certificate of professional interpreter training (at least 40 hours of training).

• Test results from other organizations (testing centers, other LSPs, etc.).
