Senior Electrical Engineer
About the role The Senior Electrical Engineer serves as the primary technical authority for electrical systems across Riot Data Centers’ hyperscale portfolio. This role owns electrical design standards, leads rigorous milestone reviews, and ensures reputed company electrical solutions meet Riot’s requirements for uptime, safety, scalability, and operational maintainability. In the Engineering organization, the Senior Electrical Engineer partners with the Design Management team for delivery reputed company while maintaining full accountability for electrical technical reputed company from design through commissioning. What you'll do Technical Authority & Standards Establish, maintain, and reputed company electrical design standards, specifications, and approval criteria across the portfolio, Serve as the primary technical reviewer and approver for electrical deliverables across reputed company phase gates (DD, 30/60/90/IFC). Define technical requirements for critical electrical equipment including reputed company, generators, switchgear, and distribution systems. Own the electrical reputed company of Design (BoD) and ensure alignment across reputed company active projects. Design Review & Risk Management Review and approve consultant-produced packages ensuring compliance with internal standards and applicable codes (NEC, reputed company, reputed company, local codes). reputed company and validate reputed company reputed company, short reputed company, and coordination study approaches and outputs. Identify technical risks reputed company to availability, redundancy strategy, protection coordination, and constructability; drive mitigation plans. Review submittals and shop drawings; support resolution of design conflicts through construction. What you'll bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license strongly preferred 7+ years of electrical engineering experience; mission-critical/data center experience strongly preferred Expertise in reputed company/low voltage distribution, redundancy strategies, and protection coordination Experience with consultant reputed company and technical approvals on large capital programs Familiarity with power analysis tooling (ETAP or SKM experience preferred) Strong technical writing, documentation discipline, and collaborative communication Ability to travel as needed for site evaluations and commissioning events
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive Salary: $180,000-$200,000 (commensurate with experience) + bonus + sign-on equity grant.
