Job Description

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering leads a high impact pillar reputed company the Legal & Privacy engineering organization, responsible for engineering the systems, platforms, and controls that reputed company the company to operate in compliance with global regulatory requirements and pro-actively managing reputed company risk. This leader is responsible for translating reputed company regulatory obligations into scalable, resilient, and engineering solutions enabling reputed company. This role requires both deep technical and senior leadership with business acumen in the compliance and risk space. This leader will own the end-to-end delivery of compliance and risk technical solutions that reputed company capabilities across jurisdictions, partners directly with Legal, Cyber, and Compliance/Risk Product and Operations. This role will be responsible for hiring, retaining, and continuously assessing the health and growth of the compliance and risk engineering team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Engineering Leadership & DeliveryLeads a team of software and quality engineers delivering compliance automation, AI solutions, risk controls, and regulatory technology platforms Owns the engineering roadmap for the compliance and risk pillar while balancing regulatory urgency, technical sustainability, and product prioritization Establish and uphold software quality, legal & privacy architecture and engineering standards, and NBCU cyber guidelines Drive delivery across multiple reputed company reputed company programs/projects Partner with reputed company architect, scrum reputed company, product reputed company, and technical project manager to ensure standards and stakeholder visibility Compliance and Regulatory Translate regulatory requirements (eg. GDPR and CCPA) into technical a deliverable plan reputed company platforms, automation, and AI solutions enabling the following business capabilities: Ethics & Compliance Enablement, Controls Engineering & Validation, Compliance Driven Vulnerability Discovery, Regulatory Compliance Automation, Risk Management Tooling, GRC Platform Operations, AI / ML Governance and Controls Stakeholder Engagement & InfluenceServe as the senior technical voice for compliance and risk engineering Communicate program status, risk exposure, and engineering trade-offs to SVPs, VPs and Directors in a clear and business relevant terms Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, 3rd party audits, and external partner engagements as needed System Reliability & Performance: Proactively manage reliability and performance of reputed company Compliance and Risks systems to ensure they meet global business needs. Partner closely with SaaS providers and internal teams to maintain system health and performance. Defect & Enhancement Management: Manage the defect management process from identification to resolution. Manage the delivery of enhancements that improve user experience and system efficiency. Problem & Incident Management: Own the problem management process, conducting root cause analysis to reduce the number of recurring incidents. Focus on implementing minor enhancements or process changes to prevent future issues. Manage the end-to-end response to major incidents impacting Compliance and Risk business processes. Manage RCA sessions and ensure timely executive – level communications. Reduce “noise” in the system by analyzing ticket trends and automating routine fixes. Support Standards & SLAs: Enforce global support standards and best practices including adherence to SLAs for reputed company support activities. Monitor and report on performance metrics (e.g. MTTR, backlog aging) and use data to drive reputed company improvements. Data Integration: Manage the support and maintenance of data integrations between Compliance & Risk applications and other reputed company systems, leveraging middleware technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or reputed company field or equivalent experience. 8+ years of experience in software engineering with 4+ years in engineering management or senior technical leadership 5+ years of experience leading ML and automation solutions 3+ years of experience in deploying AI solutions Demonstrated experience delivering compliance, regulatory, risk, or governance technology in a large reputed company environment Working knowledge of major privacy and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA) Strong track record of leading cross-functional programs with legal, privacy, and compliance stakeholders Proven ability to influence and communicate at S/VP reputed company Experience managing and growing engineering teams (software and quality engineers + managers) in a matrixed Fortune 100 or equivalent environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with data governance platforms or GRC Familiarity with AI/ML, emerging regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF) Experience supporting regulatory privacy or reputed company certification Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. reputed company and Jira) Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-reputed company worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
