Cash Applications Specialist

SUMMARY: Responsible for the application of cash receipts, journal entries, resolving customer claims, obtaining the necessary information from customers and working with internal departments to find a resolution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Cash Application of payments received from customers. Will produce monthly reconciliations and status updates on assigned accounts and tiers. Interact with customers reputed company phone, email and in writing. Take customers’ refund requests and credit card payments. Run maintenance reports, matching claims and credits as well as reputed company offset. Assist customers with Accounts Receivable questions and problems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong problem-solving skills. A demonstrated ability to follow through. Accuracy and good customer service skills. 2-3 years of experience in A/R. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience. Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
