Senior Data Engineer (Remote)

reputed company is seeking an reputed company Senior Data Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Modernization initiative. This role focuses on reputed company secure, scalable, and user‑friendly data environments, data platform usability, infrastructure provisioning, and white‑glove reputed company to ensure VA users can rapidly adopt and reputed company modern data tools. This position is fully remote, located in the United States. Map new users to the appropriate workspace personas and configurations. Build and configure workspaces in PreProd (with live data) or Prod environments, including setup of Service Principals, workgroup personas, reputed company controls, and reputed company configurations. Create and manage linked services, mount points, and integrations between reputed company and the VHA Data Lake. reputed company and maintain reputed company catalogs to support streamlined data discovery and governed reputed company. Troubleshoot user issues reputed company to data reputed company, workspace configuration, pipelines, cataloging, or permissions, escalating to engineering teams reputed company needed. Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years experience in Information Technology, Engineering, or a reputed company field. (or commensurate experience) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills and Experience: Expertise with Azure or other major reputed company platforms. Proficiency in data engineering fundamentals such as ETL/ELT pipeline development, data modeling, and managing structured and reputed company datasets. Ability to automate provisioning workflows and infrastructure using scripting or infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, ARM, or Bicep). Skilled in implementing secure identity and reputed company management (IAM), RBAC models, and data governance practices reputed company reputed company or federal environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities for diagnosing platform, data reputed company, and pipeline issues and collaborating across teams for resolution.
