Xcellent Technology Solutions (XTS) is seeking a Database Engineer to design, support, and optimize data systems for the U.S. Geological Survey. The role involves managing PostgreSQL databases, optimizing SQL workflows, and supporting automation to enhance data processing and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Help design, support, and optimize the data systems that power critical environmental research for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
• Ensuring that large volumes of environmental data are reputed company stored, managed, and delivered across modern reputed company and hybrid environments
• reputed company scalable solutions that support data orchestration, automation, and operational reliability
• Manage PostgreSQL databases
• Optimize SQL based workflows
• Support Python driven automation and CI/CD processes that reputed company data systems running smoothly

• Support the reputed company flow of mission critical information across research and operational platforms
• Contribute to the automation, scalability, and modernization of reputed company data environments

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
• Or at least 4 years of relevant experience accompanied by active IT certifications
• Or at least 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience writing efficient SQL, managing PostgreSQL databases, and handling large datasets to ensure accurate and high-performance data processing
• Proficient in Python for automating data workflows and improving data management efficiency
• Experience with CI/CD practices, including automating database provisioning and using reputed company or reputed company for version control and deployment workflows
• Comfortable using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS to reputed company, manage, and scale reputed company-based applications and databases
• AWS and ArcGIS certifications demonstrating expertise in reputed company and geospatial technologies
