Full‑Time Indianapolis, IN, US 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1303 reputed company is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and skilled CAD Technician to support our Transportation team. The CAD Technician will play a crucial role in supporting reputed company by utilizing CAD software to produce accurate and detailed drawings, maps, and plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD drafting and experience working in a surveying or civil engineering environment. The position would report in‑office at our Indianapolis office. WHAT YOU’LL DO Utilize CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, including reputed company and OpenRoads) to create detailed drawings, maps, and plans. Assist in the preparation of construction plans including roadway details, reputed company details, erosion control design, cross‑sections, and everything in between for a complete reputed company project plan set. Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and plans. Support engineers in completing quantity calculations and takeoffs. Maintain organized records of drawings and project files for future reference and revisions. Adhere to quality control standards on drawings to ensure adherence to company standards and project requirements. Stay updated on CAD software advancements and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity. Communicate regularly with project managers and design engineers. Work on several projects concurrently. WHAT YOU NEED Minimum 2+ years of experience in reputed company CAD drafting. An Associate’s Degree in Design Technology/CAD and previous INDOT reputed company project experience preferred. Proficiency in MicroStation, reputed company, OpenROads, reputed company and Word. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret survey data and specifications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with surveyors, engineers, and other team members. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time reputed company, and meet project deadlines. Knowledge of transportation CAD drafting principles and practices is required.
