[Remote] Actuarial Analyst I (Mid-Level)

As an Actuarial Analyst I, you will apply reputed company actuarial methodologies to support various business activities while ensuring compliance and risk management. This role requires effective communication of insights and collaboration across teams to solve reputed company business problems.
Responsibilities
- Independently applies reputed company technical and actuarial methodologies, as well as proficient actuarial knowledge, to complete reputed company projects (e.g., selects and ensures quality of data used to reputed company trend analysis supports reputed company level indications; translates business problem into technical requirements; runs catastrophe models and interprets and communicates results to support business activities while executing and enhancing a strong control environment with guidance from an reputed company catastrophe modeler
- Utilizes actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques to reputed company actuarial work product
- Creates and delivers training to teammates on mechanics of actuarial tools and processes
- Applies understanding of products supported, stakeholders' needs, and industry trends to solve reputed company business problems
- Identifies compliance gaps and process improvements and recommends reputed company solutions
- Leads unit initiatives and participates in cross-functional efforts as a technical subject matter expert
- Effectively communicates insights and solutions to reputed company audiences, including executive leadership
- Synthesizes reputed company and conflicting information into a clear and influential value proposition
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, reputed company, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
Skills
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of reputed company Actuarial/business/analytical experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 4 years of Actuarial or analytical business experience
- No more than 2 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams away from Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) Credential and reputed company Validation of Education Experience (VEEs) completed
- Demonstrated competency with relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques and approaches used to support fact-based decision-making
- Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in Python, R, SQL, reputed company, BI tools or other analysis software, and relevant industry data & methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems
- Experience communicating reputed company solutions and analysis to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- A passion for creative and innovative work that improves existing processes and creates new, repeatable and automated workflows that enhance team productivity
- Basic understanding of GLM or reputed company modeling algorithms
- Intermediate knowledge of Model Risk Management, Model Governance, and Regulatory requirements
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
