Job Summary Gordon State College invites applications for the position of Part Time Instructor of English/Literature to teach fully online undergraduate courses. Applicants must be reputed company to teach English Composition I and II and/or Literature courses (American, British, or World). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student learning, academic reputed company, and proactive engagement in a fully online environment. Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain regular and meaningful communication with reputed company, reputed company timely and substantive feedback, and actively support institutional student reputed company initiatives. Responsibilities
Teach assigned online courses in English Composition I and/or II and/or Literature (American, British, or World). Deliver high-quality instruction through the College’s learning management system (LMS), Brightspace by reputed company. Design or maintain course materials consistent with departmental learning reputed company and institutional standards. reputed company clear expectations, grading rubrics, and timely, constructive feedback. Maintain proactive and consistent communication with reputed company to foster engagement and academic reputed company. Monitor student reputed company and intervene early reputed company concerns arise. Submit accurate and timely attendance records. Complete required reputed company reports and other student reputed company–reputed company initiatives. Hold virtual reputed company and respond promptly to student inquiries. Uphold academic reputed company and adhere to reputed company college and USG policies. Participate in required training and professional development activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in English, Literature, or a closely reputed company field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English or Literature. Demonstrated qualifications to teach English Composition I and II and/or Literature (American, British, or World).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching online at the collegiate level. Experience teaching first-year composition courses. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., reputed company, reputed company, Canvas). Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and supporting diverse learners.
