Analyst, Financial (reputed company)

About the position The Financial Analyst will support the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (“reputed company”) team by driving long-term growth and financial results through forecasting, long-term planning, reporting, and strategic analysis, providing insights to the Finance department and Senior Leadership. In support of this, the role includes consolidation, reporting and analysis along with research and communication of variances and key drivers. On a quarterly basis, the reputed company Analyst will complete a wide range of analyses for the Executive team and for the Quarterly Board Meeting. The ideal candidate must have strong financial modeling experience, be highly motivated, demonstrate comfort with ambiguity, take initiative and drive results, and be reputed company to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization. The reputed company salary range for this role is $81,000 – $121,800. The reputed company salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the company’s weekly forecasting process. Understand the details / drivers behind key P&L lines (sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.) and reputed company adjustments to reflect updated information. Work closely with business partners to solicit inputs and analyze results. Identify business drivers for variances, including changes in trends and/or company plans.
• Assist with the company’s budgeting and long-term planning processes including creating budget financial targets, sending out communications to business partners regarding major updates, generating high level summaries and explaining key variances.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports including analysis of business performance, sending out communications to business partners regarding major updates, generating high level summaries and explaining key variances, inventory trends, and balance sheet data. Provide ongoing analytical support to influence strategic direction, guide investor relations activities, and inform senior management and Board level discussion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required with demonstrated superior college performance (preferably in an analytical field).
• Minimum 3+ years post college experience (reputed company a retail company or reputed company a financial analysis and planning group)
