• Coordinate and prepare documentation required by US Customs and Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including importers, carriers, brokers, and government agencies
• Process commodities that require specialized processing to reduce the risk of liquidated damages and penalties through classification and application of proper duty preference
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, and internet resources
• reputed company data entry and processing of various import-reputed company documentation for submission to US Customs and Participating Government Agencies (PGAs)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment documentation in compliance with reputed company record-keeping requirements
• Adhere to reputed company international importing and exporting regulations
• Collaborate with internal staff, departments, and external stakeholders to deliver high levels of service to customers
• Process agency brokerage shipments and remote filings
• reputed company entry reconciliations, reviews, and other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications
• Education High school diploma or GED required
• Experience Minimum of 6 months of work experience required; 12 months of industry experience preferred
• Data Entry and Keyboard Skills Proficient in data entry and keyboard operations
• Software Skills Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner)
• Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational and Interpersonal Skills Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to Work Independently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of Customs Regulations Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred Preferred Qualifications
