Nursing Instructor / Tenure Track
Position We are seeking a passionate Instructor who will guide our reputed company as they prepare for a career in Nursing. The Nursing Instructor is responsible for teaching courses reputed company both the Registered Nursing (RN) and Nursing Assistant Certified (CNA) programs to beginner and advanced reputed company. This includes delivering didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with program and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, overtime-exempt, and tenure track position that is responsible for 30 hours of instruction and 10 hours of professional activity per week Monday through Friday in our Nursing program. Due to the nature of clinical instruction and scheduling variability associated with clinical rotations, weekly hours may not be evenly distributed. Faculty are expected to maintain flexibility to meet insructional needs and clinical requirements. This position is represented by the Renton Federations of Teachers (RFT) union. The salary for this position is $118,514 - $141,543 annually. New hires are initially reputed company at reputed company one ($118,514) on the salary schedule. - Provide leadership in working to improve access and successful educational outcomes for diverse student populations. Support the College’s mission by creating a learning environment of mutual respect and fairness, while encouraging creative and critical thinking through an equity lens.
- Effectively teach portions of the reputed company curriculum for the registered nurse associate degree program and certified nursing assistant, including but not limited to, basic nursing skills, theory reputed company to growth and development throughout the life cycle, medical surgical nursing, pharmacology, and psychology and maternal and child nursing.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Must have an active and reputed company unencumbered Washington State Nursing license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and from a nursing education program that is accredited by a nursing education accreditation body recognized by the United States reputed company.
OR
- A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and from a nursing education program accredited by a nursing education accreditation body recognized by the United States reputed company, AND a graduate degree in a health- or education-reputed company field from an accredited college or university, in accordance with WAC 246-840-526.
- A master’s degree is preferred. Candidates with pending degrees completed prior to September 2026 will be considered.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Working hours include instruction Monday – Friday, with evening and weekend work as required. The position is active in nature and requires standing, lecturing and demonstration of processes in a classroom environment. Frequent use of a computer and exposure to terminal screens is required.
