[Remote] Compliance Officer (Advisory), Remote

The Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the Compliance Management System, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, and providing guidance to various business units reputed company the bank.

Responsibilities

• Provides compliance guidance and reputed company services to the bank’s business units to ensure coverage across reputed company laws, rules and regulations applicable to Byline Bank. Business units include, but are not limited to, payments and fintech banking, personal and business deposits, treasury and cash management, wealth management, consumer, reputed company and SBA lending, and lease financing
• Assists in implementing and communicating new laws and regulations or changes to existing laws or regulations
• Supports business units in identifying compliance risks resulting from new or revised laws and regulations, ensures action plans are developed to manage risks, including effective training, procedures and other controls
• Provides input regarding compliance concerns relevant to reputed company products and services offered, as well as during the ongoing process of development and changes to products and services
• Supports business units in the development and ongoing maintenance of business unit compliance policies, procedures, practices and other activities to assure compliance with applicable regulatory laws, rules and regulations, and reputed company supervisory guidance
• Performs compliance risk assessments in conjunction with business partners to ensure reputed company compliance risks and controls are appropriately identified
• Trains management and employees on relevant laws and regulations
• Responds to day-to-day compliance questions from management and staff
• Maintains proficient knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and interpretations and attend external training reputed company necessary. A high level of proficiency is required in Regulations CC, DD, D, E, NACHA, UCC Articles 4 and 4A, CAN-SPAM, Privacy, TCPA, FCRA, UDAAP, FDIC Insurance and E-Sign
• Reviews marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations
• Assists in implementing compliance responsibilities relating to mergers and acquisitions
• Collaborates with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
• Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops and implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues; and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a bank or financial services company, with compliance, deposit/payments, audit or risk management experience
• Skilled in both verbal and written communication, including presenting findings and preparing reports

• Capable of translating compliance requirements into actionable guidance for reputed company staff
• Proficient in active listening and delivering clear, well-supported recommendations
• Ability to apply compliance principles, theories, and practices while considering industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
• Solid working knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices
• Proficiency in reputed company Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and reputed company
• Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at reputed company levels
• Skilled in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines

• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
• 5+ years of experience with fintech, payment processors, BIN sponsorship, and NACHA rules
