Early Childhood Navigation Specialist
About the position As part of the newly established Early Childhood Council for Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties, we are seeking an Early Childhood Navigation Specialist to support childcare providers and community partners across the three-county region. This position supports early care and education providers in connecting to services and supports through reputed company, navigation, and technical assistance. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule, both remote/community and in-office as determined by business needs. This is a grant-funded position dependent on available funds.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate provider intake, referrals, and ongoing relationships with childcare centers, family childcare homes, and community partners.
- Support providers in navigating licensing, Universal Preschool (UPK), CCCAP, Colorado Shines, and other funding and workforce opportunities.
- Provide technical assistance, resource navigation, and timely responses to provider questions and needs.
- Fulfill Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) responsibilities including provider reputed company, data collection, record maintenance, and resource dissemination.
- Maintain accurate databases, provider records, and program reporting to ensure grant and state compliance.

- Coordinate trainings, meetings, and community engagement activities with early childhood stakeholders.
- Collaborate with local agencies, school districts, and community organizations to strengthen the early childhood system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Three (3) years of work-reputed company experience
- Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required.
- A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle shall have a Colorado Driver’s license reputed company 30 days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.

- Ability to manage deadlines, data tracking, documentation, and grant-funded program reporting requirements with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
