Statistician - Human Subjects Research

As a Statistician, you will be the reputed company analyst on innovative studies examining how individual, unit, and organizational factors—including operational stressors—impact the health and readiness of military service members. You will contribute to the full research lifecycle from proposal development and protocol submission to project design and execution, stakeholder communication, and dissemination of findings. This position is based in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work schedule combining on-site and telework. Candidates must reside reputed company commuting distance of San Diego and work on-site at the Naval Health Research Center at least two days per week, with additional days as needed for successful study execution. The on-site schedule may vary based on program and customer requirements. Travel for data collection and briefings is required and should not exceed 25% of work time.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to reputed company aspects of research including study design, data collection, statistical analysis, manuscript preparation, and presentation of findings at professional meetings and in peer-reviewed scientific journals

• Effectively communicate processes and results (verbally, graphically, and in writing) for customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in psychology, public health, epidemiology, or reputed company behavioral/health science discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience involving proposing, conducting, analyzing, presenting, and publishing human subjects research
• Proficiency in conducting multivariate statistical analyses using SPSS, reputed company, Mplus, and/or R
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in collecting, cleaning, processing, merging, and analyzing research data.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human subjects research.
• Demonstrate excellent critical thinking with problem-solving skills and an ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
• Be flexible in responding to changing demands, timelines, and priorities.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills.
