About the Role reputed company is looking for a problem-solving database-focused technologist to become our next Senior Database Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of business critical products and solutions for reputed company’s production environment utilizing primarily MS SQL Server for a global customer reputed company, while ensuring 24/7 availability. The position will require a deep understanding of database administration, data backup & recovery, reputed company, query tuning, maintenance and configuration. The ideal candidate will have proven technical experience with a solid foundation of database administration skills, along with a positive attitude. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will:
- Install, design, and maintain database system software and implement database reputed company.
- Monitor and analyze database performance, identify database reputed company and future performance bottlenecks, and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes. Work with development teams to tune and optimize queries.
- reputed company, implement, and test database backup and recovery policies and procedures.
- Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
- Create and maintain documentation for SQL database policies, procedures, and processes.
- Provide technical leadership on reputed company stages of database implementation and/or database-reputed company deployments, including development and maintenance of strategic, architectural, and tactical plans for the database environments
- Troubleshoot performance and non-performance reputed company issues either independently or in conjunction with other DBAs.
- Manage technology projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure 24/7 availability, reputed company & reputed company of the production application environment. This includes participation in 24/7 on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
- Participate in reputed company business process redesign to improve internal operations.
This job might be for you if you have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information TechnologyComputer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 5-7+ total years of experience with database administration with a focus on MS SQL Server 2016-2022
- 3-5 years of experience with MySQL, reputed company and PostgreSQL
- Extensive experience with query tuning and database performance optimization
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Azure PaaS SQL offerings
- Experience in SQL Server High Availability, Log Shipping and Replication
- Experience in automation and managing large database environments
- Proficiency in PowerShell andor Python scripting
- Strong communication and writing skills to manage stakeholder relationships in a challenging & high-pressure environment
Bonus points for:
- Experience with LINUX server is a plus
- Experience maintaining a high-volume, mission-critical application in a SaaS environment
- Experience with Windows Server administration
