Cytogenetic-FISH Analyst - US Remote

reputed company is seeking a remote Cytogenetics (FISH) Analyst to join reputed company that’s based in Brentwood, TN. Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Responsibilities:

• reputed company FISH analysis, which includes analysis and imaging of digitized images
• Cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads reputed company computerized images
• Review of cytogenetic cases reputed company computerized images and documents
• Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis
• Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature
• Distinguish between normal and reputed company test results
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot equipment, software and applications to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to reputed company technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care.
• Reports any and reputed company problems to the general supervisor in a timely manner
• Collaborates with general supervisor on protocol/policy development and review
• Provides feedback to senior technologists on technical matters
• Understands and complies with company policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)
• 1 year or more experience in FISH and Chromosomes for Oncology Cytogenetics

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads reputed company computerized images

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements
• Ability to work independently and reputed company a team environment
• Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
• High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
