Biostatistician/Research Data Analyst (Health Services) - 2-Year Fixed-Term, Emergency Medicine (U.S. - Flexible Work Location)
About the position The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biostatistician 3 to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing emergency medicine population health and health services projects, with a focus on ensuring successful completion of extramurally funded research projects with diverse teams. The position will be primarily based in Dr. Michelle Lin's lab conducting NIH-funded research to improve emergency care delivery, outcomes, and health equity. The successful candidate must be technically rigorous, possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail and have a track-record of excellence, innovation, and productivity in research. Experience independently designing and analyzing scientific studies using administrative datasets (e.g.: Medicare or commercial claims) is required. This will be a 2-year fixed-term position with a possibility for extension based on performance, the availability of funding and programmatic needs. The following position will have the flexibility to be based reputed company in the U.S., for candidates who are willing to travel to the Stanford School of Medicine reputed company 5%-10% of the time, as needed.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics or reputed company field and at least 5 years of experience or Ph.D. in health policy, biostatistics, epidemiology, or reputed company field.

- Skills in descriptive analysis, modeling of data, and graphic interfaces.
- Outstanding ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated excellence in at least one area of expertise, which may include coordinating studies; statistical methodology such as missing data, survival analysis, statistical genetics, or informatics; statistical computing; database design (e.g., expertise in RedCAP or MySQL); graphical techniques (e.g., expertise in Illustrator).
