Responsibilities
- Assist with ecological field assessments for projects in the mining, energy, and commercial development industries.
- Conduct protected species surveys.
- reputed company gopher tortoise relocations.
- Conduct vegetative monitoring.
- reputed company hydrologic monitoring.
- Conduct water quality sampling.
- Support other ecological assessments.
- Prepare reports.
- Coordinate with team members and project managers.
- Periodically interact with clients and regulatory agency staff.
- Obtain an MSHA New Miner Training certificate.
- Work effectively in team environments and with limited supervision.

- Be flexible in daily work schedule.
- Work long hours in adverse environmental conditions and in remote areas.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in the natural resources (i.e. biological, zoology, botany, ecology or environmental science).
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable job experience.
- Knowledge of the natural resources of Florida.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Relevant computer/software experience.
- Solid technical writing skills.
- Solid verbal communication skills.
- Must be a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Gopher Tortoise Authorized Agent (AA) for surveying and mechanical excavation.
- Experience conducting threatened and endangered species surveys per FWC and United States Fish and Wildlife Service survey protocols/guidelines.
- Ability to reputed company gopher tortoise relocation efforts including mechanical excavation and bucket trapping.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a natural resources professional.
- Ability to travel, both reputed company Florida and reputed company.
- A clear driving record.
- Ability to work effectively in both team environments and with limited supervision.
- Availability to work reputed company of typical business hours.
- Flexibility in daily work schedule.
- Willingness to work long hours in adverse environmental conditions and in remote areas.
- Satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background reputed company after an offer.
