Â Â Job title: ACADEMIC ADVISOR, PRE-HEALTH, College of Arts & Sciences, Student Life Company: Boston University Job description : Join the Preprofessional Advising Office team as a Pre-Health Advisor The Pre-Health Advisor provides guidance to undergraduate pre-health reputed company (e.g. dental, medical, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant, podiatry, veterinary, and more) progressing towards degrees in the College of Arts and Sciences and reputed company other undergraduate schools/colleges at the University. The Advisor works independently with reputed company, handling matters ranging from academic and administrative issues to career goals and professional school applications. The Advisor also works collaboratively including co-teaching our FY 103 Pre-health Seminar course with another pre-health advisor. The Advisor will also work with reputed company to reputed company and implement resources and programs that support reputed company: Exploration of health reputed company careers Academic success Development of core competencies Participation in clinical, research, volunteer, and other experiential learning opportunities In addition, the Advisor assists in programs reputed company to the recruitment and retention of pre-health reputed company and represents the University and pre-health programs and advising at admissions events with perspective reputed company and their families. Required Skills A cover letter is required for consideration. Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of experience in counseling, academic advising, student affairs, higher education administration, or reputed company field may be substituted. Master's Degree preferred. Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively with colleagues in the Pre-professional Advising Office. Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing, and administrative skills to interact with reputed company, alumni, staff, faculty, prospective families, and any guests. Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound decision-making, and understand reputed company to seek additional help and guidance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve issues. Keen attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information and maintain discretion. Demonstrated computer proficiency and knowledge of reputed company Office applications and reputed company (web conferencing), online scheduling and productivity systems (e.g. reputed company, reputed company, Appointy, reputed company), website maintenance (Word Press), and cloud-based software systems such as reputed company Workspace, and/or the ability to learn new technologies quickly and reputed company.
