[Remote] Junior Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PeriGen is a leading innovator in perinatal software solutions, headquartered in Cary, NC. They are seeking a Junior Project Manager responsible for managing lower complexity implementations and upgrades of their hospital software, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a detailed project plan in accordance with contracted scope
- Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate change control procedures
- Plan, conduct and document weekly project team status calls
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Proactively identify, escalate and work with Director, Project Management on mitigation plans, when necessary, for any issues and conflicts on the project
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Work with Director, Project Management to measure project resource and financial performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Use PMO processes and procedures in everyday management of projects
- Utilization of Project Management System for successful project management
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with employees, clients, and all community and business contacts
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborate with others
- Utilize time management and problem-solving skills to efficiently perform job duties
- Maintain an acceptable and professional personal appearance
- Maintain confidentiality of private business matters and HIPAA-protected information
- Complete other duties as assigned, to meet ongoing needs of the company
- Travel 25% of the time
Skills
- Associate's degree in business administration, healthcare or a related technical field
- 1-3 years proven project management experience, with experience in software implementation, including interfaces (preferably in healthcare/hospital IT or medical device industry)
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with both client-facing and internal customers; excellent telephone communication skills
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to adjust to project or organizational changes, including the flexibility to work with multiple time zones and work schedules
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite including OneNote, Teams, Microsoft Project and other PM related software tools
- Travel 25% of the time
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience supporting go-lives from a virtual platform highly preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
