This temporary, full‑time position offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized expertise in health‑care policy while contributing to a national effort to expand affordable coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Answer inbound calls from a diverse consumer base—including prospective enrollees, current members, and authorized representatives—while adhering to arenaflex’s performance standards, privacy policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide clear, concise, and accurate information about Marketplace health‑care plans, eligibility requirements, enrollment steps, and related resources.
  • Document every interaction in the designated CRM system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with confidentiality protocols.
  • Transfer or refer callers to appropriate internal teams or external agencies when issues exceed the scope of the limited‑service role.
  • Facilitate the delivery of requested materials (e.g., enrollment forms, benefit summaries) via mail, email, or secure download links.
  • Coordinate translation services for non‑English speaking callers, following arenaflex’s established procedures to guarantee equitable access.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior staff promptly, providing detailed notes to support swift resolution.
  • Participate in scheduled trainings, team meetings, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to stay current on policy updates, system enhancements, and best practices.

Additional Contributions

  • Identify recurring consumer trends and relay insights to the Quality Assurance and Process Improvement teams.
  • Assist in the creation of FAQ content and self‑service resources that reduce call volume and improve the overall consumer experience.
  • Support peer learning by sharing effective communication techniques and troubleshooting strategies with fellow representatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in health‑care administration, communications, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) months of professional experience in a customer‑service or call‑center environment, preferably within the health‑care or insurance sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to navigate computer systems, CRM platforms, and telephone equipment with accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written abilities, with a strong command of grammar, spelling, and professional etiquette.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently when required.
  • Equipment: Personal computer meeting the technical specifications listed below and a reliable high‑speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with health‑care Marketplace platforms, eligibility verification tools, or insurance enrollment systems.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, ACA, and other relevant privacy and compliance regulations.
  • Experience providing support to non‑English speaking customers, including use of translation services or multilingual communication.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding call‑handling metrics such as average handle time, first‑call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Certification in customer‑service excellence (e.g., Certified Customer Service Professional, CCSP) or related fields.

Technical Requirements – Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

To perform this role effectively from a remote location, candidates must have the following equipment and connectivity:

  • Desktop or laptop running Windows 10 (or later) or macOS 11 (or later).
  • Processor: Intel i5, AMD Ryzen 5, or equivalent.
  • Memory: Minimum 8 GB RAM.
  • Storage: 256 GB SSD.
  • High‑speed broadband internet – at least 25 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload, with a wired Ethernet connection preferred.
