Key Responsibilities

  • Screen incoming orders for completeness, flag questionable prescriptions, and route them to the supervising pharmacist for review.
  • Initiate outbound communications (phone calls, faxes, secure emails) with physicians, clinics, and specialty pharmacies to clarify prescription details, request substitutions, or confirm formulary changes.
  • Maintain a high‑volume workflow while adhering to strict accuracy standards and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, state pharmacy board regulations, and arenaflex internal policies).
  • Document all interactions and resolutions in the patient record, ensuring a clear audit trail for future reference.
  • Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team, call center agents, and clinical specialists to resolve complex case issues promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to patient inquiries, offering status updates, and delivering compassionate support throughout the medication journey.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, mail‑order, or specialty setting.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician certification in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional pharmacy‑related coursework is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy computer systems, electronic health records, and data entry platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to prescribers and patients.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and a customer‑first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with prescription adjudication, including navigating insurance claim issues and communicating with payers.
