Why This Role Matters
In the finance and analytics team, the Data Entry Analyst serves as the backbone of our bookkeeping operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners—including Accounting, Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance—to ensure that every transaction is accurately recorded, analyzed, and reported. Your work will directly support the integrity of arenaflex’s financial statements, help streamline revenue processes, and enable the company to scale responsibly while maintaining compliance with US GAAP, ASC 606, and other regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross‑Team Collaboration: Partner with Specialized Accounting, Functional Accounting, Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams on initiatives, processes, and projects that drive key system enhancements.
- Data Requirements Design: Create and document comprehensive bookkeeping data requirements to support the automated ingestion of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and efficiency in financial processes.
- Process Improvement: Lead functional improvement initiatives that streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close cycle.
- Data Quality Assurance: Review data quality of journal entries generated by the Revenue Subledger and design data quality checks for specific use cases, including bookkeeping requirements design, custom testing, and new feature releases.
- Product & Engineering Partnership: Work with Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve the daily Revenue Reconciliation process and oversee reconciliation investigations with the audit team.
- Requirement Gathering: Conduct workshops and assess impact on existing or new bookkeeping requirements for the Revenue Subledger.
- Automation Collaboration: Collaborate with partner teams on journal entry flows for new or existing features for automation via the Revenue Subledger.
- Monthly Close Duties: Perform month‑end revenue bookkeeping close tasks, including GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue investigation, debt claim reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and audit package preparation.
- Special Projects: Execute ad‑hoc analyses and projects as assigned, contributing to the continuous improvement of finance operations.
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in revenue bookkeeping, data analysis, and business analytics.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 Revenue Recognition; familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to query large, complex datasets efficiently.
- Proficiency in Python (or a comparable scripting language) for data manipulation and automation.
- Excellent logical and critical‑thinking abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to adapt to evolving priorities.
- Effective communication skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels, both in‑person and remotely.
Preferred Qualifications
