Job Summary As an Assistant General Manager at U-Haul, you will be responsible for:
- Running Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of our center, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Managing Teams: Lead and manage a team of employees to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a positive experience.
- Making Decisions: Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate initiatives.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, and other equipment.
- Ongoing Training: Participate in ongoing training and development through U-Haul University.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant General Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and assigning team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
- Running daily operations of the center in the general manager's absence.
- Making moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate initiatives.
- Performing miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, and other equipment.
- Participating in ongoing training and development through U-Haul University.
Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as an Assistant General Manager at U-Haul, you will need:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Management experience in any form, customer service experience.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including physical exertion, such as lifting, standing, and walking.
