Position Overview – Virtual Customer Service Agent (Temporary)

As a Virtual Customer Service Agent (CSA) for arenaflex Retiree Health Solutions, you will be the frontline voice for retirees seeking guidance on Medicare and related health plans. You’ll handle inbound and outbound calls, live‑chat inquiries, and assist customers with website navigation. Your role is pivotal in ensuring participants receive accurate information, timely appointment scheduling, and a seamless experience with our Benefit Advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to confirm, schedule, or reschedule participant appointments with Benefit Advisors.
  • Answer inbound calls regarding application status, plan details, or general inquiries, delivering clear and empathetic responses.
  • Respond promptly to live‑chat requests, providing real‑time assistance and troubleshooting.
  • Guide customers through the arenaflex website, helping them locate self‑service tools, FAQs, and resources.
  • Accurately document every interaction in the proprietary arenaflex CRM system, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
  • Utilize arenaflex’s internal tools to research plan options, eligibility criteria, and enrollment procedures.
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high‑volume, fast‑paced environments, de‑escalating challenging situations with confidence.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, webinars, and on‑camera meetings as required by leadership.
  • Continuously update knowledge of Medicare, prescription drug plans, vision, and dental benefits to provide expert guidance.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a call‑center or customer‑service environment; experience with Medicare or health‑plan support is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to type accurately while speaking, ensuring efficient multitasking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building rapport quickly.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), computer telephony, internet browsers, and basic troubleshooting tools.
