Position Overview: Your Role as a Remote Customer Experience Specialist

As a Remote Customer Experience Specialist on our Retirement Plans team, you’ll be the first point of contact for arenaflex customers seeking guidance on their retirement investments. This isn’t just a customer service job — it’s a chance to build lasting relationships, solve meaningful problems, and empower individuals to make confident financial decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Use outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to answer inbound calls regarding retirement products including 401(k), IRA, and 403(b) accounts. Ensure each interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy.
  • Identify Customer Needs: Listen actively and assess each customer’s unique situation to provide personalized solutions. Recognize when to escalate complex inquiries to more knowledgeable team members or specialized departments.
  • Navigate Multiple Systems: Research and retrieve information using a variety of proprietary and third-party platforms to deliver timely, accurate answers to customer questions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments such as Claims, Operations, and Compliance to gather or share information needed to resolve customer issues completely and efficiently.
  • Thorough Documentation: Accurately record customer inquiries, actions taken, and follow-up requirements in our CRM systems. Ensure outstanding items are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Learning: Maintain a working knowledge of arenaflex products, procedures, regulatory requirements, and technology platforms. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Achieve Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed department goals related to call quality, customer satisfaction, first-call resolution, and productivity.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive, team-based environment where knowledge sharing, mutual support, and collective success are valued.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Associate’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating comparable competency.
  • Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a call center, customer service role, or within the financial services industry.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for explaining complex information in a clear, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously, managing time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and able to learn new software platforms quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with retirement products such as 401(k), IRA, and 403(b) accounts, including contribution limits, distribution rules, and tax implications.
  • Experience navigating multiple screens, databases, and systems simultaneously during live customer interactions.
  • Prior work-from-home or remote contact center experience.
  • Background in the financial services, banking, or insurance industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in product promotion, upselling, or cross-selling financial products.

Working Conditions and Remote Environment

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort and convenience of your home office. To succeed, you’ll need a dedicated workspace that is quiet, professional, and free from distractions. Our operating hours are 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Central Time, and candidates must have open availability Monday through Friday. Schedule flexibility is essential, as you’ll be assigned shifts that align with customer demand and team coverage needs.

Please note that as a remote employee, you’ll be expected to maintain a reliable high-speed internet connection, a working computer (which arenaflex may provide), and a distraction-free environment during scheduled work hours.

Compensation and Benefits

arenaflex is committed to offering a competitive compensation package that recognizes your skills, experience, and contributions.

  • Hourly Pay Range: The estimated hourly rate for this position is $16.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and operational needs. This range complies with all applicable pay transparency laws, including the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
  • Annual Bonus Eligibility: Eligible employees may receive an annual performance bonus of up to 6%, based on company performance and individual results, at arenaflex’s discretion.
