[Remote] Commercial Growth Leader (Sales & Marketing)

The Commercial Growth Leader will spearhead the company's growth strategy, focusing on revenue generation and marketing initiatives to drive profitable sales and strengthen customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a profitable growth strategy across branded, private label, retail, distributor, and emerging channels
- Own revenue targets, sales priorities, pipeline development, and commercial execution
- Identify and pursue new customer opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
- Build disciplined sales processes including:
- Pipeline management: forecasting, opportunity tracking, account planning, and sales reporting
- Establish accountability around sales performance, activity, and results
- Lead customer negotiations, business reviews, pricing discussions, and growth planning
- Partner closely with Operations and Finance to ensure growth opportunities support capacity, margins, and profitability
- Lead the development and execution of a focused, practical marketing strategy aligned with business priorities and available resources
- Manage and develop the marketing team, ensuring clear priorities, ownership, and accountability
- Establish brand priorities across: brand positioning, consumer messaging, product storytelling, customer-facing materials, retail support, and digital presence
- Translate business goals into actionable marketing initiatives that support sales growth
- Ensure marketing resources are focused on measurable activities that create business impact
- Evaluate marketing and promotional effectiveness and adjust priorities based on results
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality/Food Safety, Product Innovation to ensure commercial strategies align with production capabilities, inventory availability, customer expectations and profitability goals
Skills

- 10+ years CPG sales/commercial experience
- Experience in food, snacks, natural products, or consumer brands
- Experience with retail customers and private label programs (club programs are a plus)
- Experience leading small teams
- Experience operating in growth-stage, founder-led, or entrepreneurial organizations
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), Microsoft products, and CRM's
- Must possess the ability to be self-starter who is willing and able to collaborate within and across teams
- Experience managing broker networks
- Must be able to effectively sell and have a desire to grow and support a team
- Must have a solid foundation of experience in managing a promotional spending program
