[Remote] Accounting & Operations Coordinator

They are seeking an Accounting & Operations Coordinator to assist in executing a broad range of administrative, financial, and people operations responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Support accounts receivable (AR) and collections activities, including drafting invoices in accordance with engagement terms, tracking payment status, and following up on outstanding invoices
- Assist with purchase order (PO) tracking and management to ensure timely processing and accurate recordkeeping
- Coordinate timesheet collection and approvals and follow-up across the organization, escalating discrepancies as needed
- Assist with month-end close procedures
- Track vendor subscriptions and renewals
- Prepare and distribute client reports on a recurring schedule
- Assist with other accounting administrative tasks as directed by the Accounting/Finance Director
- Support day-to-day human resource operations across the employee lifecycle – from recruiting, onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, employee relations, performance management, HRIS administration, and termination
- Compile reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities for KPIs and regulatory reporting
- Assist with the administration of benefits programs, including supporting open enrollment logistics and employee inquiries
- Support onboarding coordination for new team members, including system setup tasks and document collection. Alternatively, support offboarding coordination for separating team members
- Help maintain and organize employee records in the HRIS system
- Assist with scheduling and logistics for performance review cycles, training requirements, and HR communications
- Assist with internal operations processes, documentation, and process improvement initiatives
- Support the coordination of company initiatives, internal events, and all-hands logistics
- Help maintain internal tracking tools, dashboards, and knowledge management resources
- Assist with vendor coordination and administrative tasks to support daily business operations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent applicable experience
- Experience supporting accounting functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn HRIS and project management tools (Rippling, Monday.com)
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or related software is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
