Our goal is to provide valuable and insightful information about potential underlying genetic conditions, guiding patients and providers to improved health outcomes. Our team is seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant to join us in our efforts to serve patients and families around the world. Position is based out of Revity Omics Clinical Genomics Interpretation Center in Atlanta Georgia, and can be performed 100% remote. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• An important cross-functional role working with health care professionals, genetic counselors, and laboratory operations to coordinate genomic testing services.
• Work closely with Genetic Counselors and wet lab to provide case management including test request review, draft reports, sample status, and calling out results.
• Respond to phone and email inquiries from healthcare professionals.
• Organize and manage paperwork for repeat and reflex testing and basic variant analysis.
• Other tasks as requested by the Lead Genetic Counselor Assistant.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a physical science such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or medical technology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in healthcare, clinical laboratory testing, newborn screening, and/or genomics.
• Five or more years of industry experience in a customer-focused support role.
• Knowledge of genetic concepts and terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer relations and ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Skilled in prioritization, multitasking, and critical thinking/problem solving.
• Curiosity, creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to learn quickly.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Fluent in Spanish.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Schedule is dayshift Monday through Friday.
• Employee may be requested to work other shifts depending on the needs of the laboratory.
• Weekend rotation may be required.
• Travel is not required.
