Why This Role Matters

As an Enterprise Customer Engineer – Data Analytics & Cloud Solutions Architecture, you will be the technical bridge between arenaflex’s sales teams and our most strategic customers. You will champion arenaflex Cloud’s data analytics capabilities, design and validate innovative architectures, and guide customers through complex data migrations, governance, and real‑time processing challenges. Your expertise will directly influence how leading enterprises modernize their data ecosystems, ensuring they extract maximum business value from the arenaflex platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Customer Engagement: Partner with technical sales teams across North America to uncover business opportunities, understand customer objections, and devise technical strategies that remove blockers throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Serve as the go‑to data analytics subject‑matter expert, delivering compelling product briefings, proof‑of‑concept (POC) demonstrations, and bid support that showcase arenaflex Cloud’s differentiators.
  • Technical Discovery & Architecture: Conduct deep‑dive discovery sessions, translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, and design scalable, secure, and cost‑effective solutions—including data warehouses, data lakes, streaming pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Solution Presentation: Craft and present persuasive sales messaging using whiteboards, slide decks, live demos, whitepapers, and RFI/RFP responses that highlight the tangible value of arenaflex Cloud for each prospect.
  • Product Influence: Collaborate closely with Product Management to relay customer feedback, shape roadmap priorities, and help resolve technical blockers that impact adoption and migration workloads.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work hand‑in‑hand with engineering, professional services, and support teams to ensure seamless hand‑offs from pre‑sales to post‑sales execution.
  • Continuous Learning & Enablement: Stay current on emerging data technologies, industry trends, and arenaflex Cloud enhancements; share knowledge internally through workshops, mentorship, and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud‑native architectures in a customer‑facing or technical support capacity.
  • Proven ability to engage and present to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership, translating complex concepts into clear business outcomes.
  • Solid foundation in Big Data technologies or concepts, including but not limited to analytics warehousing, data processing, transformation, governance, migrations, ETL/ELT, SQL, NoSQL, performance tuning, scalability optimization, and the distinction between batch and streaming workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales, consulting, or solution engineering within cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecture design, schema modeling, query optimization, and tuning of distributed, high‑volume data systems.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing layers (infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data services) and insight into market dynamics, customer buying behavior, and competitive positioning.
  • Hands‑on experience building data warehouses, data lakes, real‑time event processing pipelines, streaming architectures, and data visualization solutions on cloud‑native platforms.
  • Ability to dissect complex customer requirements, break them into actionable technical components, and design end‑to‑end architectures that meet performance, security, and compliance goals.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Mastery of cloud platforms (arenaflex Cloud), data storage options (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.), and analytics tools (Looker, Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
