As a member of the arenaflex family, you will be part of a collaborative, inclusive, and forward‑thinking environment where your contributions directly impact the lives of thousands of workers.

Why This Role Is a Game‑Changer for Your Career

In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, benefits enrollment specialists are the frontline ambassadors who translate intricate insurance programs into clear, actionable guidance. This position offers you the chance to develop deep expertise in health, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary benefits while working entirely remotely after a brief, immersive training period. You’ll engage with a high volume of inbound calls, hone your problem‑solving skills, and become a trusted advisor to arenaflex client employees during the critical open‑enrollment window. Whether you’re looking to launch a long‑term career in benefits administration or seeking a dynamic, customer‑focused role that offers flexibility and growth, this opportunity provides a solid foundation and a clear pathway to advancement.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Inbound Call Management: Answer 30–40 inbound calls per day from a dedicated queue, delivering accurate and courteous information about benefits, open enrollment, and related policies.
  • Benefits Education: Explain complex aspects of arenaflex’s group insurance programs—including medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, and hospital coverage—to employees and their dependents.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Examine, assess, and synthesize employee data to provide clear guidance on eligibility, plan options, and utilization trends.
  • Enrollment Processing: Accurately record employee selections, modifications, and terminations in the benefits system, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot enrollment discrepancies, policy misunderstandings, and system errors, escalating complex cases to senior specialists when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Pinpoint recurring pain points in the enrollment process and recommend enhancements to streamline workflows and improve the employee experience.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of all interactions, updates, and decisions, adhering to data‑privacy standards and audit requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with HR, payroll, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits data across platforms and to support broader organizational initiatives.

Essential Qualifications – What You Need to Succeed

  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in a call‑center or benefits‑related environment, with a track record of resolving inquiries efficiently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex information in a clear, empathetic manner.
  • Comfortable navigating Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word) while simultaneously handling phone calls and chat/email interactions.
  • Strong attendance record and reliability; punctuality is critical given the structured training and shift schedules.
  • Basic computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn proprietary benefits administration software.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive employee data.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Previous experience with benefits platforms such as ADP, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Certification or coursework in Human Resources, Employee Benefits, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations governing health insurance (e.g., ACA, HIPAA) and retirement plans (e.g., ERISA).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume call environments while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
  • Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to support a diverse employee base.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Active Listening: Fully understand employee concerns before providing solutions.
  • Analytical Thinking: Quickly interpret benefit data and identify the best options for each individual.
  • Problem‑Solving: Resolve enrollment issues with minimal escalation.
  • Time Management: Effectively juggle multiple calls, documentation tasks, and follow‑up actions within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Empathy & Patience: Provide calm, supportive guidance during stressful enrollment periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional partners to ensure consistent messaging and process alignment.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive hourly rate of $18/hr, with overtime opportunities available on a monthly Saturday shift. In addition to base compensation, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that may include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plans
  • 401(k) retirement plan with pre‑tax and Roth options
  • Voluntary life and AD&D insurance for employees and dependents
  • Short‑ and long‑term disability coverage
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions
  • Transportation assistance and employee assistance program (EAP)
  • Paid time off, vacation, and sick leave accruals

All benefits are subject to eligibility criteria based on job classification and length of service, and they may evolve to reflect changing employee needs and regulatory updates.

Career Growth & Development Opportunities

While this role begins as a three‑month contract, arenaflex is committed to recognizing high performers and offering pathways to permanent positions, senior benefits specialist roles, or even supervisory responsibilities. You will receive:

  • Structured onboarding and a four‑week intensive training program at our El Paso training center (1851 North Resler Drive, El Paso, TX 79911).
  • Ongoing mentorship from seasoned benefits professionals.
