Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Part-Time Financial Analyst – Merchant Discount Revenue Forecasting & Strategic Pricing Analytics to join our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team. This role is responsible for supporting the single largest source of arenaflex revenue: Merchant Discount Revenue.

The GM&NS Pricing team collaborates closely with colleagues across multiple functions to determine optimal pricing that enables merchant acceptance of arenaflex while simultaneously improving coverage and merchant satisfaction. Ultimately, this team drives revenue and profit growth through client-centric pricing principles, flexible pricing architecture, and innovative pricing solutions.

The successful candidate will serve as a key contributor to forecasting and reporting of merchant discount revenue, offering a unique opportunity to influence multiple business lines and segments by aligning the organization's objectives for profitable charge volume and merchant growth — both essential to the long-term strength of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Forecasting: Build and maintain the regional forecast for merchant discount revenue, track monthly performance against the forecast, and identify the key drivers of variance to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Performance Reporting: Create comprehensive merchant discount revenue scorecards for the assigned region, delivering clear visibility into performance metrics and trends.
  • Process Standardization: Drive standardization and process improvement across the various regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting-related activities, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Audit Support: Support external audits, including investigating issues identified, liaising with regional pricing teams that manage merchant relationships, and driving timely resolutions.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc data analysis to evaluate discount rate trends, uncover insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams across finance, operations, and strategy to ensure alignment of pricing initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Strategic Insights: Translate complex data into clear, value-added insights that influence pricing strategy and support business growth.

Essential Qualifications

  • A four-year college degree is required; a major in Finance, Accounting, or Business is strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, the payments industry, or other related financial roles.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to build complex financial models.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated financial models and extract meaningful insights from large volumes of financial data.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as SAS or SQL is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be differing priorities or goals.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
