[Remote] Data Engineer / Python & SQL Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Graham Technologies is seeking a highly qualified Data Engineer / Python & SQL Developer to support the design, development, and deployment of enterprise data engineering and ETL solutions in a mission-focused environment. The successful candidate will possess advanced expertise in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services, with responsibilities including designing data pipelines, building cloud-based data integration solutions, and collaborating within Agile teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Python and SQL
- Build and support cloud-based data integration solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and related AWS services
- Design database schemas and implement data modeling, normalization, optimization, and integrity controls
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, integration, and performance issues
- Conduct ETL testing, code reviews, and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, developers, and program leadership to support successful project delivery
Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Integration
- Advanced experience developing solutions using Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and related cloud services
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases and data models
- Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Jira
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
