[Remote] Senior Network Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VC5 Consulting is focused on providing excellent IT infrastructure services, and they are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, operate, and improve their network systems. The role involves collaborating with a team to ensure network connectivity and proposing design improvements for large-scale projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and connectivity
- Monitor and maintain network connectivity, addressing any issues that arise promptly
- Collaborate with other network staff to propose and implement design improvements for large-scale network projects, including Fortinet and Cisco environments
- Document network configurations and changes to maintain accurate records and facilitate troubleshooting
- Interact with internal clients to understand their networking needs and provide effective solutions
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in related IT infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Hands-on experience in configuring BGP, OSPF, IPSEC site-to-site VPN, and VoIP
- Experience with enterprise remote access solutions such as SSL VPNs
- Proficient with backup and restore technologies and best practices
