[Remote] Account Manager - Maryland / Virginia
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rohde & Schwarz is a global technology company that develops cutting-edge technology for various sectors. They are seeking an Account Manager to maximize sales through the development of new business and support existing customers using a solutions-based sales approach.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutions
- Create new business opportunities and expand Rohde & Schwarz brand awareness in new and existing customers
- Effectively demonstrate and communicate how Rohde & Schwarz products can best solve the customers’ measurement/application needs
- Grow the R&S market share and exceed quota
- Develop and manage a strong sales funnel
- Provide input and feedback to product marketing, service and development groups on customer product and application requirements
Skills
- BSEE (or equivalent technical education)
- Due to certain US Government and prime contractor customer requirements, candidates must be a U.S. person
- Technical sales experience
- An understanding of current electronic industry technologies (aerospace & defense and semiconductor/components technologies are a plus)
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for selling, an intense focus on customer service, and an overwhelming desire to succeed
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
- Expertise in territory and account planning
- The ability to travel throughout the territory with some possible out of territory and international travel
- Account knowledge and experience with the Mid Atlantic area and local customers is highly desired
