Remote Medical Transcriptionist / Medical Scribe

Key Responsibilities

• * Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology.
• * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and standards at all times.
• * Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify and ensure accurate documentation.
• * Stay updated on medical terminology, practices, and technology to enhance transcription quality.
• * Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and transcription software effectively.
• * Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of transcripts.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist or medical scribe is preferred.
• * Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare practices.
• * Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
• * Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• * Proficient in using transcription software, word processing applications, and EHR systems.
• * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• * Effective communication skills to liaise with healthcare professionals and clarify information as needed.
• * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience
• * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical transcription, medical scribing, or a related field.
• * Relevant certification (e.g., Registered Medical Transcriptionist - RMT, Certified Medical Scribe Specialist - CMSS) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Working Hours
