Role Overview

This remote, live‑chat enabled position is based in the Dominican Republic and offers a competitive hourly rate of $35. You will join a high‑performing analytics team that partners with product owners, technology squads, and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical models. Your expertise in big‑data technologies, statistical modeling, and agile delivery will help ensure that arenaflex’s VoC platform remains reliable, scalable, and future‑ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Data Platform Development: Design, develop, and maintain data models on the arenaflex data lake, leveraging Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Spark, and Python to support both batch and real‑time analytics.
• VoC Integration: Integrate voice‑of‑customer survey data from the arenaflex Survey Platform into the core analytics ecosystem, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Statistical Architecture: Build and evolve a robust statistical architecture that enables standardized metric definitions, advanced analytics, and predictive modeling.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines for speed and cost‑efficiency, applying best practices in data partitioning, indexing, and resource management.
• Automation & Tooling: Develop automation scripts (Python, Shell) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline data ingestion, validation, and deployment processes.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing, including unit, integration, and performance tests, to guarantee data integrity across multiple use cases.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Produce clear documentation, data dictionaries, and runbooks; mentor junior engineers and contribute to community of practice forums.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, HDFS, MapReduce) and Spark/PySpark.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
• Strong command of SQL and experience designing scalable data models.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large‑scale survey or VoC datasets, preferably in a multilingual environment.
