Position Overview – Chat Support Associate

The Chat Support Associate is the front line of arenaflex’s customer experience. You will engage with a vibrant community of veterinary professionals, guiding them through purchasing decisions, troubleshooting platform issues, and championing their feedback to our product and engineering teams. This role is ideal for a proactive self‑starter who enjoys solving problems in real time, building relationships, and contributing to the evolution of a market‑leading platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Live Customer Interaction: Respond promptly to inquiries via live chat, email, and phone, delivering clear, concise, and empathetic assistance.
  • Issue Diagnosis & Resolution: Quickly troubleshoot technical and workflow challenges, translating complex scenarios into easy‑to‑understand solutions.
  • Account Management: Perform proactive account reviews, manage item issue reports, approve credits, and ensure veterinary practices have a seamless ordering experience.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Relay feature requests, bug reports, and enhancement ideas to engineering, product, and partner teams, acting as the voice of the user.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work with supplier partners to streamline communication, automate alerts, and improve data flow between systems.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in support workflows, propose refinements, and help implement scalable processes that elevate the entire support organization.
  • Community Advocacy: Participate in internal discussion boards and platform demos, sharing best practices and helping users maximize the value of arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably within a SaaS or eCommerce environment.
  • Associate’s degree or higher (2‑year or 4‑year college degree).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a friendly, jargon‑free manner.
  • Demonstrated patience, compassion, and professionalism when handling challenging situations.
  • Strong multitasking abilities; comfortable managing multiple concurrent conversations and tasks.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for learning, helping customers succeed, and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar chat support platforms.
  • Background in veterinary, animal‑health, or related life‑science industries.

  • Familiarity with basic troubleshooting of web applications, APIs, and data integrations.
  • Experience documenting support processes, creating knowledge‑base articles, or delivering platform demos.
