Regional Respiratory Therapist
Job Description
- Receive and follow schedules/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the established policies and procedures of the facilities to which the respiratory care practitioner is assigned.
- Perform focused interviews to identify specific patients’ needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential diagnoses.
- Plan for outcomes of care for assigned patients.
- Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and hospital policies.
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic services as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Local to the Columbia SC area for required travel Benefits
