[Remote] Data Analyst & Insights Consultant

Green River is a technical services, software engineering, and data analytics firm dedicated to helping organizations achieve social impact. They are seeking a Data Analyst & Insights Consultant to work with clients on leveraging data to measure performance, foster improvement, and drive outcomes, while collaborating with data engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions with organizations to set shared understanding of goals
• Research and identify relevant data available for investigation and analysis
• Navigate between technical, programmatic, and executive conversations while maintaining a focus on organizational outcomes and user needs
• Recommend key performance indicators for priority goals
• Design dashboards, visualizations, and reports to interpret indicators and generate insight
• Assist with setting technical specifications for data integration and analysis operations
• Ensure privacy and security policies and procedures are rigorously followed

Skills

• Creative, curious, diligent, and technically adept analyst
• Experience working with clients to understand how data can be used to measure and communicate performance
• Ability to collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and UX designers
• Lead sessions with organizations to set shared understanding of goals
• Research and identify relevant data available for investigation and analysis
• Navigate between technical, programmatic, and executive conversations while maintaining a focus on organizational outcomes and user needs
• Recommend key performance indicators for priority goals
• Design dashboards, visualizations, and reports to interpret indicators and generate insight
• Assist with setting technical specifications for data integration and analysis operations
• Ensure privacy and security policies and procedures are rigorously followed
• Bachelor's degree, applicable to business analytics, data analysis, analytics engineering, or data science
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and business leader audiences
• 3 - 5 years' experience with business intelligence strategies
• Significant experience using BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker Studio, Superset and/or Quicksight
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data in databases via SQL, CSV and spreadsheets
• 2+ years working remotely
• Facility with analytical programming languages such as R and Python is a plus
