[Remote] Cleared Senior/Principal Systems Project Manager - Project Governance, Remote

Sandia National Laboratories is the nation’s premier science and engineering lab for national security and technology innovation, seeking a Cleared Senior/Principal Systems Project Manager. The role involves leading project governance, managing systems integration, and ensuring successful execution of technical information systems engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with an innovative team with a variety of skills in multiple proficiency areas including: Requirements analysis, software assessment, systems integration, user interface/user experience, system architectures, data and knowledge management, deployment and maintenance, and systems testing and evaluation
- Define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms
- Provide leadership and tactical planning for the successful execution of technical information systems engineering projects with an end-to-end system view (requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, operations, and retirement)
- Use risk assessments, requirements, and configuration management information to deliver project management Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solutions to the Corporation
- Interact with customers, partners, project team members, and management to deliver information systems that align with cost, schedule, and performance requirements
- Develop product plans, cost estimates, schedules, risk management plans, and other documentation required for the project
- Identify potential issues, risks and contingency plans
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field plus five (5) years IT experience; OR Associates degree in computer-related field plus nine (9) years' IT experience; OR Master's degree in computer-related field plus one (1) year of IT experience
- Experience in IT project management
- Experience with full software development life-cycle using iterative or agile methods
- An active DOE L security clearance, or equivalent is required to start
- Experience in project and portfolio management processes and standard methodologies
- Ability to lead skilled professionals within diverse fields, partner across organizational boundaries, and influence development direction with both onsite and remote team members
- Understanding of end-to-end system engineering and architectures
- Experience converting abstract concepts and into concrete and acceptable requirements
- High level of professionalism to influence up and down the organization
- Exception verbal and written communication skills to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong planning, prioritization, and organization skills
