[Remote] Senior Principal, Marketing Strategic Finance & Analytics

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Airbnb is a global platform that connects hosts and guests for unique stays and experiences. The Senior Principal, Marketing Strategic Finance & Analytics will support the Strategic Finance & Analytics team by managing budgets, performing financial analysis, and developing marketing strategies to drive growth for the company. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy discussions on spend allocation & pacing between Finance and Marketing leadership
• Partner with Financial Operations to track Marketing media and production budgets in order to inform strategic allocations
• Establish KPI framework for marketing channels and campaigns. Set and monitor KPI targets, OKRs, and efficiency goals
• Develop ROI calculation methodologies with DS and Research, and lead holistic campaign reviews - accounting for qualitative and quantitative impacts
• Support weekly reporting needs from Marketing and Hosting orgs as well as quarterly campaign performance reviews
• Conduct deep dives into business trends and drivers of variance. Independently lead data extraction, analysis, visualization, and presentation
• Partner with Marketing, Product Marketing and Hosting leadership to develop strategy and support business performance

Skills

• 15+ years of relevant business and analytics experience. Ideally you have a mix of financial planning, management consulting, and/or analytics experience
• Technical experience. financial analysis and modeling skills, SQL experience preferred
• Ability to work and influence cross-functionally. You will need to partner across internal (marketing, data science, finance) and external partners - proactively facilitating connections between teams
• Strong communication skills with audiences at various analytical levels. You enjoy working with large data sets and synthesizing it into a story with recommendations
• Advanced presentation skills (Google Docs, Keynote, Excel) and grasp of current social networking systems
• Experience working within marketing ecosystem (e.g., media agency, content providers, or brands)
• Familiarity with marketing channels and KPIs, acquisition funnel analysis, campaign effectiveness evaluation
