[Remote] Senior Technical Project Manager - Remote US
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GridX, Inc. is focused on creating clean energy technology and is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to enhance their customer delivery process. This role involves leading a team, managing project lifecycles, and ensuring successful delivery to utility customers while collaborating with various internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of up to two Technical Project Managers, providing career development coaching and hands-on project guidance
- Drive internal teams to onboard customers on schedule and within scope, providing a best-in-class experience
- Efficiently manage the project lifecycle through planning, requirements gathering, resourcing, configuration, risk mitigation, training, go-live, and project closure
- Achieve an understanding of the GridX product capabilities, and technical integration processes to guide customers throughout the delivery process
- Manage stakeholders to ensure that all customer requirements are scoped and delivered on time and within budget
- Communicate with internal and external executives regarding project status on a weekly or ad hoc basis
- Own customer communications to ensure customers’ expectations are properly set and managed according to project constraints, updates, and challenges
- Utilize and maintain processes, templates, and documentation for delivery standards in collaboration with customer success leadership
- Contribute to improvements in operational processes and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Project Management team
- Evolve the project management function, including methodologies, automation techniques, and policies
- Effectively communicate risks, develop mitigation strategies and strategically drive a project while maintaining good faith with a customer
Skills
- 7+ years of software product/ project/ client management experience with a track record of success delivering complex, cross-functional projects with large enterprise customers
- Experience working on large, complex technology integration projects requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and planning, and multi-channel communication requirements
- Experience working with utility customers and/or in the energy industry
- Strong project manager with experience in a fast-paced, tech environment requiring adaptability and high-quality performance
- Master of multitasking with repeatable tool sets and systems
- Creative and willing to push the envelope
- Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively
- Implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure consistent and high-quality customer interactions
- Experienced at following and developing standard project management methodologies and best practices
- Ability to work across time zones and with offshore teams in a dynamic start-up setting effective communicator and skilled facilitator
- Experience in management consulting or strategic account management, preferably with a software/technology company
- Experience developing or implementing technology roadmaps and portfolios
- Experience with energy efficiency and program implementation is highly desired
- Experience working with a start-up
- Experience with Jira project management
- Interest in Clean Energy, Climate Change, Decarbonization, or Renewable Energy is a big plus
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
